A menudo son niños que debido a un problema o trastorno de conducta o de aprendizaje rinden a un nivel por debajo del nivel requerido.<br />El objetivo es que al cabo de un periodo el alumno pueda incorporarse de nuevo al ritmo de su propio grupo. El trabajo consiste en ayudar a detectar dichos obstáculos y posteriormente, colaborar en resolverlos.<br /><br />Se consiguió ayudar a 6 chicos de 1º grado de esta institución. La señora Elina Cocucci de Vaquié lo propone al grupo de docentes y vecinos. El 19 de octubre de 1996 se constituye la primera Comisión Directiva. Al año siguiente se obtiene la Personería Jurídica.En diciembre de 1996 se firma un convenio de comodato gratuito entre la firma comercial López e Hijos y la Comisión Directiva de la biblioteca... Finalizado el contrato, la Biblioteca quedó sin edificio. Los libros debieron guardarse en locales prestados, y especialmente en un sitio prestado por una vecina de la localidad, en calle Mitre, para que continuara funcionando sin interrumpir sus actividades. Y así se hizo.Mientras funcionaba en calle Mitre, y gracias a la gestión de dos diputados nacionales, se obtuvo un ATN, destinado a la compra y acondicionamiento del inmueble.La Comisión Directiva actuó con rapidez, efectuó la compra de una casa de vieja data, con salida a dos calles muy importantes del pueblo, aunque la parte construida necesitaba una importante restauración.Se nombró a dos arquitectos jóvenes, hijos de vecinos de la localidad, Javier Argumedo y Luciano Badino, quienes reciclaron la vivienda, dentro del estilo de la zona: rústico, con amplio ventanal al norte y ventanas muy pequeñas a los otros puntos. Se aprovecharon los materiales de demolición. Se aprovecho una entrada destinada a los autos para edificar allí el depósito de libros. Se restauraron todos los techos y el baño.Al frente de la Biblioteca.. Se colocaron dos de las tres rejas históricas que fueron donadas por la Policía de lugar, y que habían pertenecido al destacamento policial por muchos años. Son rejas artesanales de hierro macizo.La inauguración del nuevo edificio, con todo el material ya dentro de él, se realizó el 27 de octubre de 2000. El acto tuvo repercusión en toda la población, asistieron las autoridades gubernamentales, policiales, eclesiásticas y educativas de la zona. Fue una reunión que llenó de satisfacción a todos los habitantes de Chacras de Coria.El inmueble consta de un total de 650m2, una parte construida de aproximadamente 150m2. Y un importante terreno que en la actualidad es jardín y tiene algunos árboles frutales. Este espacio, que da a la calle opuesta a la de ingreso, se ha pensado para construir, en un futuro, la ampliación de la Biblioteca y un salón de usos múltiples.El edificio consta de dos salas de lectura; la más grande está destinada también a usos múltiples; una habitación donde se dictan cursos, el depósito de libros, la secretaría donde está la bibliotecaria, las computadoras, una cocina y un baño.La sala de lectura destinada a usos múltiples consta de una hermosa mampara de vidrio que da al norte, por lo que entran la luz durante todo el día, y cuanta con la estufa hogar en sus paredes. Allí está la fotocopiadora que se usa para brindar el servicio a los socios y a todos lo que lo requieren.La Biblioteca presta los siguientes servicios: sala de lectura (dos), lectura a domicilio a las personas enfermas, préstamos de libros a domicilio, servicio de Internet, , taller literario, apoyo escolar, clases de inglés, francés, italiano, clases de computación, entre otras actividades culturales.La Biblioteca cuenta con aproximadamente 20.000 volúmenes y 50 videos, provenientes en su mayoría de donación provenientes de familias o de personas que se alejan del lugar, o bien quieren destinar sus bibliotecas a la nuestra.Ese material ha sido seleccionado y catalogado antes de ingresar al fondo. En general son obras importantes.
